Notepad menu elements not identified by Click activity

I am not able to select any menu options in notepad like File, Edit or Format using Click activity. I know it can be selected using Send Hotkey activities but I would like to know why this issue occurs and if there is any solution available for it. The same issue happens for PDF as well. When I try to get the invoice number using the Get Text activity, the whole PDF is highlighted. No fields are recognized by the UiPath Studio. I have tried all the different solutions that worked for others in the forum as well but ended up in the same situation.
