How to use UiPath Studio Community Desktop version instead of UiPath StudioX?

Hello good people,

Is UiPath Studio Community version still available?
I’ve downloaded the setup from cloud.uipath.com but it’s like it just UiPath StudioX.
As shown in the screenshot below.

I read through this article UiPath Studio still for free? Or just StudioX? but still it didn’t work as you can see in the screenshot below.

Kindly advise if there are any changes that I don’t know about.

Best Regards,

Hi @Kakooza-Allan-Klaus

You can switch the profile from studiox to studio. click on the home button which is top left of the in the studiox then the view will be as mentioned below. click on setting and then click on license and profile and then click on change profile and then select the studio.

Regards

I don’t have the Change Profile option

Okay got it…

your license have been expired as you have enabled the enterprise edition your license have expired because the enterprise edition will be there for 2months only. So, if you can see over there it shows free beside subscription tag

Hi @Kakooza-Allan-Klaus

  • Open UiPath StudioX→ Settings → License and Profile → Change Profile → UiPath Studio

I hope it helps!!

Hi @Kakooza-Allan-Klaus

You have the free plan licence so please register with UiPath again with existing account but with new organisation name so that it will give u a community licence with which you can access the studio.

Hope it helps!!

The screenshot indicates that am using the free version which I suppose is the community plan

@Kakooza-Allan-Klaus

if you wanted to again use the studio then logout from orchestrator assistant and studio. Then try to register for UiPath community version again with same Mail ID but with different organization so that you can use the studio again but no assests or else processes nothing will be visibled it will be like a new orchestrator again.

It works !!

@Kakooza-Allan-Klaus

If you have a Community license, it is a free plan that gives you instant access to elementary automation capabilities through licenses for users and UiPath services.
It is aimed at non-commercial use only. For commercial purposes, the Free plan is available.

This plan includes a set number of licenses, of which you cannot request any more. If you need additional licenses, you must upgrade to the Pro plan.

If you will check About licensing , you will see that you will get 2 Automation Developer - Named User licenses.

Further details check on this thread

Try to create a new Community account with another email address. If it is not allowed, you can use only Automation Express (StudioX with Studio Web and only personal workspace folders).

Make a new account.
Uninstall it and delete all the files from UiPath folder from program files.
Login with new account in cloud portal and download MSI file and install it

If you find the solution for your query please mark it as solution to close the loop.

Happy Automation !!

I’ve used a different email for registration and it has worked fine for me.
