Hola, hoy construí mi primer Bot

algunas aplicaciones útiles serian:

  1. Marcar como ya leído los correos que no me interesan en mi bandeja de entrada
  2. Borrar mis descargas después de un tiempo determinado
  3. Enviar mensajes de cumpleaños cuando lo olvide.

Excited to build an automation today, even with some guidance. A few things that would save time for me that I’d like to automate:

  1. Querying multiple data stores to return information for decision support (based on a few keys).
  2. Automate e-mail feedback based on several parameters in a request.
  3. Auto-adjudicate requests based on rules, policies and tolerances.

Off to learn more!

I did my first little robot today! It was exciting :smile:

I am brand new to this - recently exposed because I helped on a project that involved RPA. I built my first robot today using StudioX - Find Unicorn Name project. It was amazing and I can’t wait to learn more so that I can start applying some of these processes to my job. We have a corporate initiative to automate where we can and I’m excited to get started. This is the type of thing I’ve been wanting to do for years and it’s now a supported initiative. I can think of a number of things we can automate:

  • System access requests

  • Transferring support ticket data to weekly security access worksheet

  • Automating monthly report pulls and distributions

  • Email inbox management

  • Password resets

And more… :grinning:

I think I can automate the sending of reports by mail to my immediate boss
Also the update of templates in Gsconnect could be automated
Tasks such as applications on the S400 or JBA system should also be easy to automate and would save considerable manual time.

It is an amazing program.
I think I can automate working with Excel files that I save in folders.
Bank report that I copy to an Excel file.
And make bank adjustments.

I was not able to figure out how to add the month from the excel file. I was able to successfully run the robot without the month but when i try to add the month I’m not able to run it. other than that its a fairly easy program to use.

Creating automation was an interesting process. Other uses I can think of are:

  • Update rate structure in excel spreadsheet.
  • Emailing instructors a class roster.

Apparently, using the ‘select item’ activity helps us select the month from the drop down list to match the month in the ‘birthday month’ column of excel sheet as shown in the Main.xaml file of the solution.

Great exercise! Initially I had an error, then realized I just had to allow editing in Excel’s trust center settings.

A good intro to build my first Bot. Have explorer by trial and error on some of the functions to test some logic and understanding…hope that all my doubt can be cleared as I continue the learning journey!

Already did the course but restarting with it. After trying something and then going back to the course, you get a better understanding.

1.Search for incident in SolMan ITSM and display data in a message box
2.Taking screenshots of SAP transactions and pasting it in a word document(system checks)
3.Create incident in SolMan using data from spreadsheet(template) emailed to you
