Connected to Orchestrator but was unable to retrieve a license. Please contact your automation department

Hi,

I get the following error when try to connect unattended robot to orchestrator:

“Connected to Orchestrator but was unable to retrieve a license. Please contact your automation department.” Screenshot with hover on the status shown below (also the machine and robot):

Have gone through few topics in the forum but not helping:

Any help is much appreciated. TQVM.

@oyao16

Please do a sign in from assistant and the error would be gone…

Cheers

Hi @Anil_G,

Please take note I try to deploy the unattended robot by using machine key; hence sign in from assistant won’t help in this context.

Thank you.

@oyao16

Check this

Should be fine, do try triggering a robot run from Orchestrator and see if it runs. It’s just a confusing message in UiPath Assistant.

Hey @oyao16
I can see that you are connected with the machine key - being connected with the machine key, you are working as an unattended robot. That means that in the Assistant, you are connected :white_check_mark: (try to run from Orchestrator), but you are not able to see your automations without signing in. The way that the Assistant is encouraged to be used as attended it is by the Service URL.
If you are not using the Assistant as an attended user, but you want to see your automations in the Assistant, you can troubleshoot → this can be easily done if you access Orchestrator : Tenant → Monitoring → Unattended sessions → Configure troubleshooting session
But if this is not the case, then Sign in from Preferences → Orchestrator Settings or disconnect the machine and directly Sign In
