Why there are some color edges and what do they mean?

Why some activities are highlighted with red, blue and grey?
What do each color means?
And why some of them I can’t copy and paste?

@JavRR

For each activities colors are given to differentiate between the scopes of those while scrolling

Cheers

Hi,

It’s Enhanced Activities Design since 2022.10. The following document helps you.

Regards,

Hi @JavRR

The color indicates for every activity, Each activity has their own colors. Based on that you can know which activities are inside of which activity. In your case, for retry scope there is blue color then you can detect easily which activities are inside the retry scope. You can click on that color then it will highlight then you may know the scope also.

Hope it helps!!

Hi @JavRR

  1. Activity colors in UiPath Studio help you quickly identify errors, selected activities, and disabled activities. Copy-paste restrictions are in place to ensure that activities are properly configured in their specific contexts and to avoid issues related to dependencies and configurations.
  2. If you encounter difficulties copying certain activities, consider alternative approaches such as using workflows or templates to encapsulate reusable components.

Activity Colors:

  • Red: Activities highlighted in red typically indicate that there is an error or validation issue with that activity. This could be due to missing or incorrect input parameters, incomplete configurations, or other issues. Addressing the errors should resolve the red highlighting.
  • Blue: Blue highlighting is often used for selected or currently active activities. When you click on an activity in the workflow, it gets highlighted in blue to indicate that it is the currently focused or selected activity.
  • Grey: Grey highlighting is used for disabled activities. Disabled activities are not executed when running the workflow. You can disable an activity by right-clicking on it and choosing the “Disable” option.

Hi, In UiPath, the colors of activities indicate their status.
The following are the meanings of the colors:

Red: Activities highlighted in red indicate that they have errors and need to be fixed before running the workflow.
Blue: Activities highlighted in blue indicate that they are currently selected.
Grey: Activities highlighted in grey indicate that they are not currently selected.
