Using Get Text Activity in Excel

Does the Get Text Activity work if you try to grave a value of just a particular cell in Excel? The Excel, by the way, was recorded.

No. Get Text activity doesn’t work with the excel cells.
You have to use Excel Application Scope with Read Range or Read Cell activities.

Thanks. It would have been nice to easily get just a few text strings , combine them and display to the user as a control point before proceeding.

You can open the excel and then use relative screen scraping to extract the required string if you don’t want to use excel application scope.
