Using a template as a workflow in a different project

Hi All - I’ve tried searching about this but hitting a wall
I have a workflow that I would like to use in a different project, I have extracted it as a template and published it locally, but when I go to use it in the new project it doesnt show it as an option.

It just shows a drop down with the built in templates, am I missing something obvious? Could someone be so kind as to explain how to import a workflow like this

Thanks

I would recommend to follow the steps mentioned in this doc
https://docs.uipath.com/studio/standalone/2023.4/user-guide/workflow-from-a-template

Cheers @Gemma_Walker

Hi @Gemma_Walker

You can directly copy the workflow file from the existing project.
You can paste in the New Project folder.

Hope it helps!!

thanks, I did try that initially but when it came to this bit, my template was not showing

May i know how did you extract that as a template previously
make sure you are referring the same folder path when you are finding here
@Gemma_Walker

Sometimes the most obvious answers are the right ones! thank you that works, i’d still like to know where I am going wrong though

for offerings we control the locations:

Local - The local user feed, by default: C:\Users\User\Documents\UiPath\.templates. The location can be defined by selecting Settings > Locations in Studio Backstage view.

taken from here: https://docs.uipath.com/studio/standalone/2023.10/user-guide/project-templates#browsing-and-using-templates

Orchestrator, where a template can be published

I go to the workflow in the project panel and click extract as template, it then saves it to the project folder
