Use single user for different machines

Hi everyone,

I want to know if is possible to use a single windows domain user to authenticate and run different robots on two or more machines. I have the following stage:

  • 3 unattended license
  • 3 template machines
  • 1 windows user domain

Using the same domain user I got the following error:

“Connected to Orchestrator but was unable to retrieve a license. Please contact your automation department.”

“The current floating robot is already active”

Let’s go one by one

Yes, it is possible to use a single Windows domain user to authenticate and run different robots on two or more machines. However, you will need to use a floating robot license for each robot that you want to run.

To use a floating robot license, you will need to:

  1. Create a machine group in UiPath Orchestrator.
  2. Assign your template machines to the machine group.
  3. Assign a floating robot license to the machine group.

Once you have done this, your robots will be able to use the floating robot license to authenticate to UiPath Orchestrator and run their processes.

Check this out on floating robots

And this error occurs because of license allocation

Hope this clarifies
