Terminal Connection Fails In Windows - Type Projects

When creating a Terminal session in a Windows-type project, the wizard returns an error: "There was an error connecting to terminal. Error code: ErrorCreatingTerminalProxy".

When creating a Terminal session in a Windows-type project, the wizard returns an error: "There was an error connecting to terminal. Error code: ErrorCreatingTerminalProxy".

However, in a Windows-legacy project, the connection is established successfully.

Root Cause: This behavior is due to the architecture of the "terminal" app, for example, IBM Personal Communications.

If the software runs on an x32 bit infrastructure, the connection cannot be configured on a Windows-type project, because that relies on x64.

Resolution: UiPath plans to release a version of the Terminal Activities package that enables the cross-functionality of the connection, meaning that a Windows-type project can be used with x32 terminal software.

The currently available options are to use only Windows-legacy projects or upgrade the terminal software to the x64 version.

Note: version of UiPath.Terminal.Activities, when the article was written, is v2.5.0 .
