What happens with the tenants and services such as Automation Hub after the Automation Cloud license expires?
Issue Description
When the license reaches the end date without being renewed, the tenants and a few services such as Automation Hub in the Automation Cloud account get disabled. No data is deleted, just the tenant status changes and Orchestrator along other services cannot be accessed anymore, with the following error being shown: "TenantName is disabled and the access has been blocked temporarily for all the accounts and groups."
This persists even when the license gets renewed.
Resolution
When an Enterprise license expires, the account subscription is downgraded to a Free Plan. The plan benefits for a Free plan account are very restricted in terms of number of tenants (only 1) and services. Therefore, all tenants except one (mostly the DefaultTenant) and certain services such as Automation Hub are disabled. After the license is renewed, the disabled tenants and services need to be enabled manually.
Follow these steps:
- Ensure that the License is renewed/upgraded.
- Once the license is confirmed renewed, log in to the Automation Cloud account as an organization administrator, navigate to the Admin portal in Automation Cloud, select the desired tenant from the left side menu and go to the Settings tab.
- Find the option to Enable back the tenant - Click it and allow one or two minutes for the tenant to be enabled.
4. Follow the steps for enabling disabled services such as Automation Hub: Navigate to Admin > Click on the tenant > Services > Click on 'Show more actions' > Enable.
