Studio Main Panel opening as new window

How do I pin the Main Panel ( where the main.xaml ) and adjust the size so that i stays in foreground on the designer. Whenever I adjust size it opens as a new window and I no longer see it pinned in the designer. I tried reinstalling Studio and that didn’t solve the problem. So when I open a project, the main panel opens in full screen but i am not size and make it stay between the activities panel and properties panel.

Hello,

Please find the screenshot attached. If you notice, the project, snippets, etc window is on the right side. I am not able to set it to the left side. If I resize the Main window it just opens as a new window and when I pin it this is the view I get. Is there a way to reset everything the way it was when I first started the IDE. Also, if you notice outout, error list, etc are not in a window and I also don’t know how to move some of then down where breakpoints are located.

Please let me know.

I would imagine this setting will/should do it:

I have tried this. I tried it today as well. It does not reset and it stays the same.

In that case, you could either:

  • move around the UI elements as per my gif from the previous post
  • try renaming the setting files in this location %appdata%\UiPath with Studio closed and then run it anew.
