Start job with specific user on modern folder

Hey guys,

is there a possibility to start a job with specific user in modern folder setup? In classic folder it worked via Orchestrator API. I could insert the robot name and release key in the HTTP call. But for Modern Folder there are not robots. In Orchestrator GUI it is possible, so why not possible via API?

I need to trigger the job by another robot. So can’t start it manually or by trigger in Orchestrator for the specific user.

Did you ever get a solution to this?

@davidtodd1972 you need to use the robot id from user endpoint:

cheers

How to get this robot I’d? Kindly help . I am facing the same issue

Hi @yerriboyina_lokesh,

you can grab the robot id for modern folders with the endpoint orchestrator api endpoint “[orchestrator-url]/odata/Users”. That will give you back a list of all users and robot users. search through it for your specific robot user and grab the robot id from the user details: image

i always recommend checking out the orchestrator via the swagger ui ([orchestrator-url]/swagger)
