RPA Starter - Feedback Space

Hi Team,

RPA Awareness Training is having a good content and easy to understand for beginners like me. Am feeling more enthusiastic about it and want to change my career to it, Only thing is that I want the webpage to be cross-browser enabled as some images was not working in Chrome and videos not working in Mozilla.

A good overview of what RPA can bring to every companies whatever their activity field : the right 1st step towards RPA

Treinamento muito bem feito poderia ter a opção de ser feito em português

It was an good learning experience. A bit too focused on the resource platforms. Looking forward to learning with this.

Content is good, kept limited and straight to point.

Just some input on Business Lines, perhaps can showcase a real use-case (visual/video) which can able to give clearer picture what UiPath able to do.

Overall is Great, makes me to dwell deep in RPA UiPath right away…!

the starter training is helpful to understand the basic concepts of RPA .I enjoyed the training.

The changing structure of information presented made a dry subject bareble however it would have benefitted from more video content.

RPA Starter Training provides comprehensive overview and good knowledge about RPA. All available resources and platforms provided was informative.

To make learning experience better, following are the suggestions:

  1. At the end of Lesson 4 - Overview of RPA in business
There is a big gap i.e. white space. I assume there should be some image or wordings which is not displayed or that gap should be removed by re-formatting the white space.
  2. Lesson 8 - The RPA journey
There are duplication of words " are are", etc. at few places, I assume needs proof reading
  3. In the section - the roles encountered in RPA implementations that drive the change
I assume a main role - “RPA Developer”, is missing, which I assume is a backbone in implementing RPA technology
  4. Lesson 10 - Industry-Specific Automation Solution
There is spelling mistake/typo - Character ‘n’ is missing in ‘Sactions’ wherever applicable
    5.Lesson 12 - UiPath Academy
The video does not have any audio.

My overall experience was good with the contents and format provided for this training. : - )

CAN SOME ONE PLEASE HELP, as I completed the RPA Awareness course and on last page, it was mentioned to click 'EXIT MODULE" and receive Credit (I assume it takes you to another module of “Build-a-Bot”, but when I clicked I got error page as follow:

“401” UNAUTHORIZED ERROR, Try to open again or perform new login"

But when I refreshed my browser or tried to login again, I got another different error page as follow:
"Server Error in “/” Application "

And when I logged in again, it took me to different RPA Starter Training program, which had completely different contents and is a shorter-version RPA Awareness/Starter program of what I completed today and does Not have “Build-a-Bot” module in it!

How many different version of each Training program we have in UiPath? It is confusing!
Does that mean, I have lost my actual RPA Awareness Training program and have to redo it again?
I don’t even see now RPA Business Analyst Training in UiPath Academy.

Please Help!

Hi Chet!

First of all, thank you for taking the time to write this detailed feedback. I hope you will continue with other courses on UiPath Academy and continue to provide feedback.

These days we are in the process of migrating UiPath Academy to a new solution and there is still work to be done to make the entire experience error free.

With this migration we have updated some of our courses and RPA Starter is one of them. The new RPA Starter offers a better perspective of RPA and hyperautomation and provides details on how hyperautomation can be approached.

To your point, with the migration of the Academy we are also migrating the status of each course for each user. With the error that you describe, I am afraid that the package was not completed. So it was migrated with the ‘not started’ status.

Again, I hope that the updated content will help in the experience of going through RPA Awareness.

Best regards,
Razvan

Hi Razvan,
Thanks for your reply.

Is there anyway I can get the credits for the old RPA awareness course which I completed yesterday or do I need to again go through the new version of RPA Starter training to get the credits as this will be the 3rd time I will be doing the RPA Starter training to get credits.

Also under old RPA Starter Training there was another module “Build-a-Bot”, I believe it was hands-on practical training, under new courses, where I can do this module, as I am very much interested in complete it?

I appreciate your reply. Thanks for your help and support in advance.

Our team is working right now on fixing the issues that some users report regarding the progress migration. Still, based on the error you are describing, I am not sure that the completion was triggered. The best option would be access the new RPA Starter and access the first module (RPA Awareness). You can skip all the content that you are familiar with by simply navigating through the course (you don’t need to watch the videos, for example). Once you will finalize that, there are 2 modules left in RPA Starter: Introduction to the UiPath Enterprise RPA Platform and Build Your First Automation. The last one is very practical indeed.

The easiest way to find RPA Starter is from the Home page. Or you can find through the Courses page, by using the search function.

I hope this helps.
Razvan

RPA Starter training was great and covered all the basic topics. Definitely not a negative just something noticed, on the Manage your Automation with Cloud Platform section all the text was missing the letter “f”. Not sure if I am the only one that experienced this.

Hello all,

I have a problem with the video player. The video lagging too often that delays my learning time and demotivates me. On the other hand, I play video on Youtube smoothly. So I guess it is the problem from built-in video player.
Have you got the best practice to deal with it? or any link of every video on Youtube?

Regards,
Raden

There’s a huge lag in the first session. I fully cleared cache and data already. I saw another user post with a similar issue this month. I have very fast internet with no issues streaming YT or Netflix.
I tried Chrome and Edge in 2 different PC’s
1 minute into the first video it has actually taken 3.06 minutes so it’s unwatchable for the long term, but very interesting.
I am based in SE Asia. Is there a server here I could choose as default?

Really looking forward to completing this!

Great intro to RPA, but when it came down to the “Build Your First Automation” the walkthrough videos went too fast and they seemed to use a different version of UI Path than what I had downloadet. I simply could not get my own automations to work like in the video. I hope to get some help to make it work.

I think this course provided a very comprehensive introduction to RPA. It was also fairly easy to understand the narrator. In the future, it would be helpful if the information were presented in a Word document as well.
