Replace-with > Excel options disappear before click

I’m Using the free version for training purposes and the behavior of Replace With > Excel has changed when the Excel file is open. Before it didn’t matter if the Excel file was open while building automation activities.

Within the last week or so there is a new behavior: If the Excel file is open while I’m in StudioX using a Replace activity, when I click in Replace With and hover on Excel, the two options (Indicate…, and Custom…) appear briefly then disappear. If I time it just right, I can move the mouse over the two options and they will persist and I can choose an option. This latter behavior tells me this is probably an error.

  • Does not happen when Excel file is closed, but when building multiple activities it is time consuming to open/close the file between each Indicate In step.

  • I have closed all files and reopened, uninstalled the Excel plugin and reinstalled, and rebooted my computer

  • Microsoft® Excel® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2203 Build 16.0.15028.20242) 64-bit

  • StudioX 2022.4.3
