Open Any File and Save As in Different Location

Dear Team,

I’m very new to Ui Path (Learning)

I’m given a task to Open Any File(format) and Save As in Different Location.

Please Guide me.

you can use move file or copy file activity

Hi, l think you can use open application and in the arguments you can specify the path of the file, to save on diferent location you can send a hokey depending on the application and then type the path in which you want the file to be saved and then enter

Welcome to the community.

1.you can use open Open Application. And whats next if you open the file ?
2.you can save your file by using Move file activities.

Hi @nsundarv

1.Use Start Process activity pass the file path which file you want open.
2.Use Move File activity From: Source path.
To : Destination path
file will move to Source to Destination.

Simply you use Copy File activity to copy file from one location to other location and no need to open the file unless you want to do any changes in it.
