On reboot of VM, UiPath Assistant won't launch and start processes

Hi there,

I require your help regarding a software problem with the assistant. Until recently everything was working properly. But now every night, after the reboot of the VM, UiPath Assistant won’t launch by default and I have to open VM manually and start UiPath Assistant to start the processes.

My colleague mentions that he opened the VM today and waited a good 4-5 min before Assistant opened by itself and started processing jobs. I kind of don’t know how to deal with this issue, it’s kind of irritating.

Any help would be appreciated,

You don’t need Assistant at all for running unattended automations. You only need Robot. Assistant is the interface for people to run attended automations.

It sounds like you installed in user mode instead of service mode, that’s why you have to log in. Re-run the UiPath installer, install only robot, and set it to service mode.

Please check if UiPath.service.host.exe is present in task manager → details page

If this is missing then it means UiPath is installed in user mode…please install the robot in service mode …that should solve
