No such host is known

I got an exception like “No such host is known” when using SMTP activity. But I have SMTP access. Sometimes it’s working fine. sometime i got above exception. Please give me the solution to avoid it.

you wont be facing this with outlook as in outlook mail activity we wont pass host value in its property…as it would directly take from your outlook configuration made in your system…
so is outlook configured in your system @Iswarya.G

@Palaniyappan ya yes. I know that. But i am using SMTP activity. Server address is “xxxxxxx”, email is outlook.

No worries
to avoid these sort of intermittent errors,
Kindly use Get Exchange Mail Activity buddy
with
server : “https //outlook.office365.com/ews/exchange.asmx”
Body : “mailbody you want”
Subject : “mailsubject you want”
username : “mail id”
password : “your mail id password”
To : “receiver mail id”

Yes i understand, exchange works much better with outlook when compared to SMTP thats why i am suggesting to go for exchange activity

This will not get you to any errors like this that occurs regularly and the error may be due to connection problem with SMTP @Iswarya.G
