No such host is known in UiPath Studio after upgraded to v2024.2.1-beta.15932

I’m a new user, using UiPath Community Edition, I’ve recently signed up for an account using my personal email and also downloaded v2024.2.1-beta.15932 from cloud.uipath.com, I installed (with Chrome and Edge browsers closed) but ran into “No such host is known” when trying to sign in from Studio.

Then I uninstalled and installed v2023.10.4 and it works fine, it was able to launch Chrome and sign in successfully for first time. With latest version, I notice it didn’t seem to be able to launch Chrome and lead me to the sign in process.

There’s a notification from UiPath Update Service asking me to upgrade to latest version, I gave it a try but it ends up with the same ‘No such host is known’ error.

My peers have no issue using latest version, not sure what could’ve gone wrong with my local machine, why older version is working fine but not latest version, what else can I try or do to make it work? Appreciate any advice here.

Seriously need help here as I need to complete RPA Developer Foundation course this month as required for my work. My Studio was forced to update to latest version and stuck with this error. I have no other machine. Appreciate if someone could advise what else I could do to overcome this issue.

If you can install 23.10.4 why don’t you just use that? You don’t need the latest community version for your training.

Appreciate your reply. It will force upgrade to latest beta version by itself, there seems to be no way to turn it off :frowning:

Hi @teochevon, could you grab the logs using the UiPath Diagnostic Tool and send them over to me privately, in a DM? And maybe a screenshot when the error occurs.

If we can figure out where the exception occurs, we might be able to figure out the cause and troubleshoot it.

Are you installing the enterprise version? If so it will not auto update.
If you install the community then indeed it auto updates, thats how community works.

Turned out it was solely my PC problem. I can login perfectly fine from Studio/Assistant in my replacement laptop.
