Hello,
I am getting this error while I am logging in the UiPath studio using modern method(signing in user mode).
I am not able to use the classic method(machine key used for logging) as the orchestrator has updated and all the accounts from now on(which will be created) will be considered under modern technique for connection.
My orchestrator and robot are connected but my UiPath studio is giving this error.
It would be great if anyone can help me out with this. I tried uninstalling and installing again…but no use !
Thank you !
Could you let us if you are using the EXE installer without having both MSI+EXE installed at the same time (which is not supported)?
Hello Maciej,
I used UiPathStudioSetup.exe for installation.
Then that should indeed not happen for the EXE installer on a machine that has never had the MSI installation active.
Is there a way that you share your machine and another user installed Studio/Robot from the MSI installer in the past?
This can be easily checked by having a look at these locations:
MSI:
C:\Program Files (x86)\UiPath
C:\Program Files (x86)\UiPath Platform
C:\Program Files\UiPath
C:\Program Files\UiPath Platform
EXE:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\UiPath
Hi,
It would be great, if I could share my screen with you and discuss the issue.
Thanks for the instant reply !
I have attached the Screenshot after running the %LOCALAPPDATA%\UiPath .
Could you maybe do a quick search for all UiPath installations in Add/Remove programs?
And share the results?
Yes, I shared my results below:
Hi @Sneha_Deshmukh, thank you so much for your help here. Could you kindly let us know some more details, to try to narrow the issue down?
-
is your Studio licensed locally by any chance, or you are trying to acquire the license directly from Orchestrator?
-
what type of Orchestrator environment are you using? is it cloud.uipath.com or a different one? you mentioned that the Orchestrator has updated and was wondering if you are using an On-prem one or our cloud. If you are using an On-prem, could you please share the Orchestrator version?
-
could you please also share how your robot-user looks in Orchestrator? You can do that by navigating to your tenant in Orchestrator > then the Users tab > and provide a screenshot for both the Attended and Unattended tabs, if possible:
-
on the same Orchestrator instance, can you please go to the Tenant > Settings > Security and check which one of the 2 toggles are enabled?
-
lastly, can you please check the following paths to see if anything unwanted is present there? it might be that something has remained from maybe a previous installation of Studio, which pointed to the MSI, not the EXE:
C:\Program Files (x86)\UiPath
C:\Program Files (x86)\UiPath Platform
C:\Program Files\UiPath
C:\Program Files\UiPath Platform
– if this is the case, please try to perform a clean installation of the EXE build by first uninstalling Studio
– then removing all the files from the following locations:
rmdir /s /q "C:\Program Files (x86)\UiPath"
rmdir /s /q "C:\Program Files (x86)\UiPath Platform"
rmdir /s /q "C:\Program Files\UiPath"
rmdir /s /q "C:\Program Files\UiPath Platform"
rmdir /s /q C:\ProgramData\UiPath
rmdir /s /q %APPDATA%\UiPath
rmdir /s /q %APPDATA%\NuGet
rmdir /s /q %LOCALAPPDATA%\Temp\nuget
rmdir /s /q %LOCALAPPDATA%\Temp\NuGetScratch
rmdir /s /q %LOCALAPPDATA%\NuGet
rmdir /s /q %LOCALAPPDATA%\UiPath
rmdir /s /q %APPDATA%\Roaming\UiPath
– then installing Studio EXE as per usual.
Please let us know what happens and thank you very much for your collaboration.
Hi Coramia Motoi,
I have created an attended robot as RPA developer Pro only, no unattended robot is created.
As I am a new user, I can upload only one image.
I tried both ways for connecting orchestrator(using machine key and service URL). Both are showing connected, licensed.
see image below:
Hello,
Can anyone please help me out with this issue !
I am not able to proceed with my work from last week.
I will be thankful, if anyone finds the solution !
Thanks !
We are currently investigating this issue further but we unfortunately cannot provide a direct workaround.
One would be to use another machine, albeit we understand that this might not be ideal.
I also have the same problem, how to solve it. Now, i can’t login in UiPath Studio event use Community Offline
Just to confirm, are you sure you are not having an Enterprise installation and trying to access the Automation Cloud Community account?
Sure, i run it and try login by Automation Cloud Comunity account.
I still can’t login UiPath with my account. Can u give me file install of UiPath i can login ?. Thanks you

After installation of 2020.10.6 version of UiPath an try to connect to my Orchestrator this message appears “Locally unlicensed Studio Enterprise Edition cannot acquire a license from Orchestrator Community edition. Please use Studio Community Edition” and I´m using that version.
Machine is online and visible from Orchestrator but I cannot run UiPath correctly.
ÂżCould you please help me to fix this error?
Thanks in advance.
