License Management options - External licences and partners, how does it work

Hello,

regarding this documentation:

And this sub suject

Can you please help more and explain how this work ?

We work with partners and they help us for some automations. They currently consume an Automation Developer licence from our orchestrator, they connect to a virtual machine provided by us.

Is it possible that they connect to our orchestrator through our environment ( virtual machine ) but to consume one of their licence ? Do I understand correctly ? And if yes, how to proceed ? Thanks for your help.

This is not possible.

Your licences are fixed to your orchestrator, you cannot have a ‘floating’ licence that lets you connect to multiple organizations using a single developer licence.

Its also likely if you are working with UiPath partners that the licences they have are what are called NFR licences (Not For Resale), this means UiPath provide them with licences for demonstrating the product in sales pitches and to ensure their staff are properly educated and can stay up to date with the latest features, its explictly disallowed to use it for commerical work for resale such as building an automation for a customer so they can avoid getting a developer licence.
