Hi everyone,
I have been preparing for the UiPath certification, but I’ve noticed some major issues with the learning path provided. The course content feels very outdated and doesn’t align well with the actual certification exam. Given how frequently UiPath updates its platform, these inconsistencies make it even harder to prepare.
Recently, I started the UiPath Specialized AI training. While going through the course and then referring to the documentation, I realized there is a vast difference between them. Even the terminology used in different UiPath resources varies significantly, making it difficult to understand certain concepts.
Here are some specific issues I’ve come across:
- Deprecation of Models in Documentation vs. Exam Questions
- Some of the models mentioned in the official documentation are marked for deprecation, yet they still appear in exam questions. Why should we be studying outdated concepts that are no longer relevant?
- Inconsistent Terminology Across Versions
- The names of core components keep changing with each version, leading to confusion.
- Example:
- Exam Question: What is the name of the web application that allows users to prepare, review, and make corrections to datasets required for Machine Learning models?
- A. Document Manager
- B. Digitization
- C. Data Manager
- D. ML Extractor
- The correct answer should be both Document Manager and Data Manager since “Data Manager” was renamed to “Document Manager” in UiPath v2022. But as a learner, we usually don’t track version changes closely. If both options are correct, what should we choose in the exam?
- Exam Question: What is the name of the web application that allows users to prepare, review, and make corrections to datasets required for Machine Learning models?
- Conflicting Answers in Official & Unofficial Sources
- Example:
- Exam Question: When processing a document type with a high variety of layouts, what is the recommended data extraction methodology?
- A. Model-based data extraction
- B. Hybrid data extraction
- C. Manual data extraction
- D. Rule-based data extraction
- UiPath Documentation says: A. Model-based data extraction
- UiPath’s official blog says: B. Hybrid data extraction (UiPath Blog)
- Both answers seem correct, but this kind of ambiguity can impact certification results.
- Exam Question: When processing a document type with a high variety of layouts, what is the recommended data extraction methodology?
Since this is a paid certification, I believe the exam should be designed in a way that reflects clear, up-to-date, and well-defined learning objectives.
Does anyone else feel the same way? Have you faced similar issues with the certification exam?
