Hi, All.
I have a question about UiPath.

Is UiPath the Server RPA?
If I want to use the Robot multiple computers.
So, can I use these workflows by Orchestrator?

If you have any ideas, please tell me how these workflows do on the some computers.
I want to know about the server RPA.

@Mickey,
For your information, Uipath has 3 components.

  1. UiPath Studio- Used to build the artefact or workflow.
  2. UiPath Robot- Used to run the artefact or workflow build using UiPath Studio.
  3. UiPath Orchestrator- It is a centralized web based control panel, from where we can control N number of robots. We can start, stop any Jobs on any robots any time. We can create un-attended mode robots also by taking help of the Orchestrator Scheduler.

If I run the robot on the virtual servers, can I use same files on them?
And, if I use notepad on one virtual server, in this case I use notepad.exe on the virtual or any others, like cloud or local machine?

  1. If I run the robot on the virtual servers, can I use same files on them?- Yes you can execute the same files to execute. But you have to publish your source code to the virtual machine using Orchestrator.
  2. if I use notepad on one virtual server, in this case I use notepad.exe on the virtual or any others, like cloud or local machine?-If it is a Windows Machine, then by default Notepad will be available, you can call the same, just argument has to change if you are using.

Finally, I want to ask you “When I use some virtual machines, should I install UiPath Robot to all of them?”
I want to use some virtual machines or some local machines to run the Robot with Orchestrator.

Hi @Mickey,
No Doubt, you have to install UiPath Studio (Runtime or developer edition) to execute the source code written using UiPath Studio. It can be a virtual or a local machine.

In case I have to install three UiPath Robots to each machine?

@Mickey, the answer is yes. If the hardware is different then you have to install the number of licences. If some OS partitioning is done to create multiple users(on the same device id) then you can use only one licence which will be available to multiple users.

In case I have to install three UiPath Robots to each machine?- UiPath Runtime (UiPath Robot) you have to install and you can deploy your one and only source which is written by you.
