I see Orchestrator has 1 attended and 1 unattended robots. I would like to add another attended robot in the orchestrator. I have got a attended license code now.

How do i go about increasing the 1 attended to 2 attended robot using the license code i have now in orchestrator?

Hi @vivek.rajs!

Follow a great guide link below:

In the left menu you have more options about Licensing:

Thanks @DiegoTurati. What i have is the Attended Robot license, i don’t think uploading robot license in Orchestrator setting license page works as per the link you have shared.

@vivek.rajs, check this link below:

https://orchestrator.uipath.com/docs/managing-your-licenses

It will help you to handle Attended or UnAttended licenses.

@DiegoTurati I have tried the link and got the below error when tried to activate.

“Activation error code: -4006, license status: 0, error description: Server returned invalid XML”

Firewall & proxy to connect to activation server is good. Pls help on how to move forward.

@vivek.rajs,

Check this post below:

inside the link above you will see :

Let me know the results.

My error is “Invalid XML” The suggested resolution for this is to “delete” the license files and reactivate, which i did and got the same error as shown below.

@vivek.rajs, check this post from ovi

there’s a lot of possible errors and solutions regarding licenses

@DiegoTurati FYI, the current orchestrator license with 1-attended & 1-unattended robot was activated using a different code back in July 2018.

Now i have got a new license code for attended robot which is different from what is used back in July 2018.

Can this new code be used to increase orchestrator license to have 2-attended robots from its current 1-attended robot?

Or should we upgrade the same code from July 2018 to have 2 attended robots?

@vivek.rajs, well. If you have 2 licenses 1 - Attended and 1-Unattend and you are requesting a new license code to have a new Attended , yes it’s possible since both attended codes are valid! Then you can increase it .

Did you check it :

I need to check if you can use same code to increase this attended robot.

If you can’t resolve the problem following these steps above I do recommend you use the support channel:

Did you have some windows upgrade?

Am not going to use studio. This is Production environment so the new Attended robot license that i have, will be used to activate only the Robot (without Studio).

Sure. You can check and come back if having 2 different license codes be a problem or it can work together.

Based on your reply i might open Contact Licensing Queries & Activations.

No. There was no Windows version upgrade. Only few security patches by the patching team.

Hi @vivek.rajs, was you able to solve this license problem? I saw you opened a new topic, but this new topic is a different issue.

~Diego Turati

Nope. Adding the new robot license to orchestrator is still not done. It’s still open.

The other issue I have opened is different from this one.

Right @vivek.rajs, I was researching and checking about your problem and the better option to help you to solve this topic is to contact our support for any license related queries as i mentioned above.

You can have 1 more Robot under the same license key & email address. But after the license key is updated on UiPath side(with 1 more Robot) you will have to generate again the license file and upload to Orchestrator.

They will be able to help and support you on it. Try it and let me know.

Appreciate the help @DiegoTurati. Am contacting support now.
