How does the 'counter' function work in studiox? Please see example of what I am trying to accomplish below

image

As a background, I am using this excel to populate a table. The first highlighted column ‘Issue ID’ which can have multiple action plans (‘Action Plan Reference’ column). Essentially, what I want to do is create a row for each action plan for each respective issue ID. For example, ISS_1056017 should have 6 rows tagged to it, and populate the row with the ‘Action Plan Reference’ and ‘Action Plan Title’.

I know how to have the bot create the table and row, but how do I get it to count the number of action plans per unique issue?

@Jnguye15

Say dt is the datatable where your excel data resides.

Then uniqueid = dt.Defaultview.Table(True,{"Issue ID"}) will give the unique issue id in a new datatable

Now use a for loop to loop on uniqueId datatable and inside use filter datatable on dt…to filter on each issue id and get the row count using filtereddt.RowCount

Cheers
