But from the date UiADP Came to picture UiARD is valid for 3yrs and that to till2026 october from which ever date u take no matter . UiADP is now valid fro 3 yrs from the date of ur examination . and u can avail 50% offer if u ar already UiARD developer to take UiADP till Nov 2024 i guess . Regards Sandy

Interview question on Orchestrator

You no need to time trigger the dispatcher process for every hour and one and half hour to check the mails every time. This was not a good practice. As we suggested use the Event Triggers for Dispatcher process and queue trigger for performer process. This will come under Unattended Automation… @Sharanabasava Hope you understand!!

What is naming conventions for Array,list and dictionary in Uipath

We don’t mention the ArrStr_VarName like this the best practice is to follow the Arr_VarName that’s it… @venkatasai If you want to specifically mention you can mention in the Tool tip for the variable in the Variable panel. Go to Variables Panel → Right click on variable which you want to add tool tip → Select Design Properties then you can specify the tool tip like Array<String> or Dict<String,Object> like this. Dependencies loading

@A_Learner, You can copy the packages manually if you have those on another machine. You will have to copy from available machine’s path C:\Users\<Username>\.nuget\packages To Current machine’s path C:\Users\<Username>\.nuget\packages It’s one time activity. Second option would be assign Developer license for a while till you restore the dependency and revert it back to original license. Thanks, Ashok

Could not find the user-interface (UI) element for this action with tab on browser?

Okay @jnfantasy4 You want to keep only one tab in the browser right. Before launching the web applicationin the browser use the kill process activity. If you are using the chrome browser give chrome.exe in process name or using edge browser then give msedge.exe Then the kill process will close all the tabs and the browser and it will launch the web application in the new browser. Then the bot will not fail. Hope it helps!!

Opening Project error

Hi @A_Learner Close the Studio & navigate to the folder: %userprofile%.nuget\packages, here delete all the folders and files inside the packages folder. Now restart the Studio and try creating a new project again. Regards

Hi , lets assume we have error in our main sequence and surrounded by try catch block , now in catch block we know that if error happened what steps needs to be done . for example :- i am trying to read the excel file but excel file is open i have surrounded the excel file read activity with try catch block and in catch block i will try to close the excel / kill the excel process . More (unwanted) jobs than Queue Items

Hello, we struggle with our Orchestrator set up. We have two running robots. If the Orchestrator has for example 5 Queue Items and the Trigger is activated with the following settings, we will get 7 running jobs. If we have 10 items we will get 12 triggered jobs. Use application browser question

based on my experience. don’t use simulate type if you automate the Desktop apps and you can use simulate type if you automate the browser but don’t use it for all activity. Type Into : don’t use simulate type if the text box have auto populate. Select Item : don’t use simulate Button : you are safe to use simulate type for any button. hope this one help you.

@shyamala_shyamu In teseract ocr try to change the Scale ,I hope by changing the scale you got your data properly. Also change image DPi property The Ocr’s does not extract the Data as it is in the Pdf.

Test case failed

If I’m understanding you correctly, you want to verify whether a button is present. If it’s present, you want the test case to succeed. If it’s not present, you want the test case to fail. You could use the Check App State activity for this and wait for the button to appear and then simply add a Verify Expression activity in each of the two branches of the Check App State activity. Doesn’t matter. Set it to long enough to account for the longest you’d ever expect it to take. As soon as the Close button appears it’ll continue - it doesn’t wait until the end of the timeout then look for the button. It continually looks for the button until the timeout expires.

Built-in features for managing packages

I think that is for Orchestrator’s library, not the files copied to robot servers. @riyabanerjee we are also struggling with this, and have found no tool nor other way to do it automatically. One thing we did do, which conserves disk space, is to set it so that packages are not stored in user folders - which results in multiple copies of every package on the server (one for each robot Windows account). Uia cls keeps changing for "AttributesGroupBox" & "AttributesListBox" - desktop application

@Moshin_Ali_Khan From the selector remove the attributes which are changing frequently this way the selector becomes more reliable… You can still perform all the actions you need like check or uncheck etc Open ui explorer remove the attribute and check if it is still highlighting the elment Ideally name attribute and automationid are enough I feel for your scenario to identify the element uniquely …cls is not needed Cheers

Scheduling a Process in Orchestrator?

@priyachennuru789 -In Orchestrator, go to the “Triggers” section, create a new trigger, and configure it to run the desired process. Set the schedule to “Daily” and specify the exact time you want the process to run. You can also configure additional options like timezone, start date, and recurrence. [image]

Hi @mohamed.saty2012 Use read range workbook activity and give the “A2” as range. The read range workbook activity output is datatable. Check the row count of datatable. If row count was giving correct then you can continue with read range workbook activity. Hope it helps!!
