Excel Fetching Problem [SOLVED]

Hello  ! This is my first post in UiPath Forum. I’m a newbie and I’m just starting to learn how to do automation.

What I needed:

Problems I’m encountering

  • I’ve created a variable for each of the item and turned it to a Data Table
  • I don’t know whether I’d use Write Range for Excel or something else

Thanks a lot! (in advance)

P.S. Solutions with explanations are HIGHLY appreciated, as I’m still learning the basics of UiPath.

EDIT: UPDATE

This forum is now solved  Huge thanks to @ashokkarale and @Anon_Robot for helping me deal with my encountered problem…

Update

Thank you all for contributing! Let’s learn together :glowing_star:

Welcome to the Community @JoanneDeGuzman,

If your datatable column sequence and the excel template sequence is the same, use Write Range - Workbook activity.

This activity is faster than Excel activity as it’s directly interact with file without opening it through Excel.

Hi @JoanneDeGuzman,

There are 2 ways to write a table to excel

  • Write Range Workbook
    • Documentation: Activities - Write Range
    • Pros:
      • Faster, especially with large datasets.
      • Doesn’t require Excel to be installed.
      • Works directly with the file.
    • Cons:
      • Limited to data writing; no Excel formatting or application-specific functions.
  • Write DataTable To Excel
    • Documentation: Activities - Write DataTable to Excel
    • Pros:
      • Allows for interaction with the Excel application.
      • Enables Excel formatting and application-specific functions.
    • Cons:
      • Slower than “Write Range Workbook.”
      • Requires Excel to be installed.
      • Requires the Excel Application Scope activity.

In both cases you’d need to download the UiPath.Excel.Activities for the activites to work.

Hope this helps!
