Excel AddIn installation problem in StudioX

Hi Everyone,

I’m facing an issue when I download Excel AddIN.

In fact I found a topic in the forum ( https://forum.uipath.com/t/ms-excel-add-in-not-installed/210557/40.) that talks about the same subject

in this topic there is a guide i followed to fix the problem, but it still doesn’t work.

I uninstalled and reinstalled excel, but it still doesn’t work.

Could you please help me to fix this issue?

Hi, welcome to the forum.
First of all you don’t need to reinstall the excel. Its not required. Just click the option of excel add-in in tools and restart the excel sheet if its already opened.

Microsoft Office Repair Script -

Microsoft Office can have installation issues which result in errors when trying to build automations with Office (especially Excel) using StudioX. To help with this, we now include a “Repair Tool for Microsoft Office Interop” that will attempt to repair common issues which prevent use with StudioX. The repair tool has two modes:

  • Run repair actions: This will run the repair script directly on your machine
  • Create .REG file. This will create a registry file you can choose how to deploy and install. This option is useful for large organizations where users do not have admin rights on their machine, so IT needs to centrally deploy the repair actions.

The repair tool can be accessed from the “Apps” section of the “Tools” tab on the Home page:

I have not tried it because currently not facing any such issue. Can you give it a try.
