Error message Open Browser (Firefox): Cannot communicate with the browser, please check the UiPath extension

Hi all,

I’m using Firefox, the extension is installed and enabled, but I’m still getting this error message. I already tried the suggestion from another post, i.e. using Open Application instead of Open Browser, but I got the same error message.

Does anyone have an idea?

Have you given the UiPath extension in the Firefox browser.

If not, give the extension follow the below steps,
→ Open the Firefox browser → Click on 3 dots at top right → Select Extensions → Select Manage Extensions → Search for UiPath → Give the Extension to UiPath.

If you have given extension in Firefox, give the extension in UiPath Studio,
Go to Home Page of UiPath Studio → Click on Tools option → Click on UiPath extensions → Find the Firefox and hit on install.

The extension is already installed both on Firefox and Studio. Moreover, with a different project I have no problem. This one that is giving problems I inherited from a former colleague that left the company…

You are using Open browser right, Open the properties of Open browser activity and select the Firefox from the Browser Type option dropdown as shown in the below image,
