Developement on Studio is getting too slow

I am facing an issue with every project of mine. Whenever project size reached to 3MB then Studio behaves too slow. Just to drag and drop of any activity each time it gets hang for 2-3 minutes.

I am not sure if I am doing anything wrong. Development becomes too tough after 3MB.
Also 3MB is not that big. Please suggest.

I am experiencing this as well. Studio version 2018.4.2.

My Main workflow is 2.5MB.

Is the only way to remedy this to split the workflow up into smaller pieces?

Having a large flowchart with many activities seems to have been the cause of the lag. Splitting it up into smaller flowcharts helped.
