Cannot see/select latest package version

Hi,

I have published a package from UiPath Studio and I can run it successfully from Orchestrator.

I now published a new version of this package. I can see both versions under (tenant)/Packages/(my package)/view versions. I see two versions, as expected.

But, under (folder)/Processes/(my process)/Edit/Package version dropdown, I can only see the first version. Only one entry in the dropdown.

As expected, when I run the process it runs the first version.

why can’t I see both versions in package settings?

Thanks!

Hi @Important_Emu

Check if the latest published version of package is Active or not.

Both versions are inactive. I looked around a bit but couldn’t find how to set them active. How do I do that?

Hi @Important_Emu

Go to the respective folder → Automations → Click on three dots of respective process → Click Upgrade to latest version

Hi,

That option is inactive/greyed out.

Hi @Important_Emu,

Can you share a screenshot of the process in Orchestrator?

Also, can you try deleting the existing packages for this process from Orchestrator and publish the process again from Studio?

Please make sure to take a backup before deleting the package.

Thanks!

Hi,

I cannot delete the package. The option ‘Delete package’ is greyed out.

I tried deleting the process and creating it again, but I can still only select the first package version.

I added screenshot. I hope I added the screen you wanted? There isn’t much information on it.

Hi @Important_Emu

Can you try republishing your package and check. Check whether your studio is connect to the correct folder.

I only have a single option when I publish. It is not managed by me. I publish, and the package shows up in our tenant under ‘Packages’.

Hi @Important_Emu ,
Try these steps:

  1. Make sure the new package was published to the same feed/tenant as the original version.
  2. In Processes > Edit, verify that the process is configured to use the latest package version and not a fixed version.
  3. Refresh the page or recreate the process if the new version does not appear.
  4. Confirm the new package was published successfully and is listed under the same package name.
  5. If using modern folders, ensure the package is available to that folder and user permissions are correct.

Thanks

@Important_Emu

After you publish the package into the tenant feed are you able to see any process upgrade symbol in your folder.

What do you mean by folder? Packages are by tenant? If you mean my process, then there is no upgrade symbol. Only a green checkmark under version. I also don’t see any upgrade symbol anywhere else.

Hi Jasmin,

  1. I only have one feed to publish to, so it is the same.
  2. I don’t see an option to use latest. The dropdown only shows the first version.
  3. Refresh didn’t help. Also, the new version was published a while ago.
  4. I see both the new and the old version under the package name. Both inactive.
  5. I’m not sure how to do any of that. But I can run the first version I published, I just cannot switch to the new version. Both versions show as inactive.

Hi @Important_Emu,

It seems you only have View and Create Package permissions.

Please check with your support team to get the required permissions. If this is the Dev environment, you should have at least Edit permission as well.

Thanks!

Package inactive status is completely normal in Orchestrator. It only switches to active once a deployed process actually runs that version, so that does not block you. The real issue is your folder feed. Since you see a green checkmark on the process and upgrade is greyed out, Orchestrator thinks this folder is already on the latest version available to it. Your modern folder is set to an isolated folder feed instead of the tenant feed. Go to Tenant then Folders then edit your folder settings and check Package Feed. If it is set to folder feed, either publish from Studio directly to that folder feed, or upload the v2 nupkg into Folder Packages, or switch the folder setting to use tenant feed.

Hi @Important_Emu,

Please check whether the latest package version is marked as Active in Orchestrator. Also, make sure you’re checking the correct tenant and folder, as the process version dropdown depends on the packages available in that context.

If the latest version is active but still doesn’t appear, try refreshing the page and reopening the process settings.

Hope this helps!
