Problem: When chrome is updated, the bot stop working.
Temp Solution: We restored the chrome version to its previous state, the bot working fine only in “Chrome 74” but it doesn’t support other higher version.

Did anyone face problem like this?
What is the permanent solution?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the chrome extension?

Hi,

Its not about the extension, Bot is only working on Chrome 74 not on any higher version. We have licenced code i.e enterprise version.

Hi @vignesh671,

Go through these threads hope it will help you.

Hello,

same issue here, with Chrome Version 75.0.3770.100 (Build officiel) (64 bits).

I’ve fixed manifest.json (path points to a previous2017.1 UiPath installation)

On the task management tool, Chrome displays only one process per tab. We cannot see ChromeNativeMessaging.exe, and on the same time we see a new line in Event Viewer:

Nom de l’application défaillante chrome.exe, version : 75.0.3770.100, horodatage : 0x5d071e50

There are no changes if I uninstall / re-install Chrome Extension via UiPath studio (2019.4.4) / via command line (with both parameters) / via Google.

  • Note that our Chrome installation is managed by “Enterprise rules”, and it seems that we have some GPO policies flying around.

Kind regards,
Alex

Problem resolved. !
In fact, UiPath extension changed between 2017.1 and 2018++.

I’ve found the solution : we had 2017.1 with this Chrome Extension (dpncpimghfponcpjkgihfikppbbhchil)

And now on 2018 we had a different chrome extension (dkgencfabioofgdmhhjljpkbbchbikbh).

And the new one wasn’t allowed over our Global Policies (GPO)

So to solve that, we had to autorize the new key on Chrome GPO, and deploy the new extension.

That’s all folks.

Alex
