After required password change: Error 'The user name or password is incorrect'

Dear community,

This Monday, our company’s new password policy was enabled and we had to change passwords for all of our virtual machines (2x studio machines, 1x test Orchestrator, 1x productive Orchestrator, 1x Robot machine); all of them are Windows Server Installations.

We were able to adjust the password changes in IIS for the Orchestrators in order to connect to them again.
But when the Orchestrator wants to trigger the Robot machine, we get this error for every process:

The user name or password is incorrect. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007052E)

We cannot set the new password anywhere in Orchestrator.
Using version 2020.10.1.

We do have IIS on all machines except the robot machine (don’t know why).

Do you have any idea how to solve this problem?
Not sure if updating to version 2021.10 is possible at the moment and if that would even solve our problem.
Password cannot changed back to old one because it doesn’t comply with the new, stricter rules.

How you have connected to the machine from the orchestrator using the machine key? please refer to the below post.

In the robot setup we will be providing the credentials, just try to update with the latest password for a machine and try to execute.

It seems I am so totally and absolutely blind… :sweat_smile:
I really didn’t notice Section 3 here. I only saw 1 and thought there is no way in updating the password…
