UiPath update failed (version 23.4.2)

The update for version 23.4.2 failed, causing the error: “Unknown (Msi Error 1603)”.

Please collect the logs using the UiPath Diagnostics tool, selecting the Update Service besides all other logs and contact your system Administrator.

I’ve sent diagnostics many times, but didn’t get the issue fixed till now.
Kindly help!

Could you try this:

Recommended form UiPath:

  • Try to download the installer https://download.uipath.com/versions/23.4.2/UiPathStudio.msi using a different browser.
  • Try to disable the antivirus while installing the MSI file.
    If you are using Microsoft Windows Server, per-user installations may not be completed successfully. If an error occurs stating that policies have been set to prevent the installation, you can do one of the following if you are an administrator on the machine:
  • Open the Registry Editor, and then, in the registry key HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer, configure the policy DisableMSI = 0 to enable the Windows installer for all applications.
  • Perform the installation per machine by installing using the Custom option.

Could you share the log file on PM? I can take a look at what might cause your issue.

I’ve sent you a personal message mentioning all the logs coming after the error during upgrade installation. right now I’m trying to install latest version that is, v23.6.1.

Kindly do the needful and revert.

Based on the log it seems that for some reason one specific registry key is locked.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION

Could you please try to remove it manually and retry?

DID NOT HELP ACTUALLY.
I AM UNABLE TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. IT IS CONTINUOUSLY SHOWING ERROR WHILE INSTALLING.

@Yugandhara_Shirbhate have you tried to remove completely the Studio using Add/Remove Programs? And then install it using the actual MSI?
