UiPath Test Manager Requirement

Hi All,

I have few queries related to Test Manager on UiPath Orchestrator.

1: Do we need to have Test Manager in Orchestrator to create test case in studio?

2: If we don’t have Test Manager, how can we map requirement with test cases.

3: ALM tool integration would be possible with Test Manager on Orchestrator, can we do the ALM integration through UiPath Studio ?

Thanks in Advance.

Yes we need to have test manager to create test case
As Studio can be used only to build bots for those test cases
In order to map it to a specific test case with studio we need test manager

As I told with above point we need test manager to MAP test case between studio and test manager
Only then u can execute them in schedule or group them as a test set

Yes of course we can integrate
Check this official document for more insights

Hope this clarifies

Thanks for your response.

Just need clarification on the query, Can we do the ALM integration through UiPath [Studio], if yes, from which option in studio we can do this setting

Well I would recommend to connect ALM with test manager as it will be easy for you to manage test cases and results

But if u still want to integrate ALM in studio u can make it with API Calls

Refer this for recording session on how to integrate with ALM tool

  1. No, you don’t need UiPath Test Manager to create test cases in UiPath Studio. Test cases can be created directly in Studio without Test Manager. Test Manager is primarily used for test case management and execution, making it easier to organize and run test cases.

  2. Mapping requirements with test cases is often associated with test management tools like UiPath Test Manager. Without Test Manager, you may need to manage this manually or using a different tool, such as a spreadsheet or a project management tool. You can document the mapping between requirements and test cases in a document or spreadsheet, ensuring that you maintain traceability.

  3. UiPath Test Manager can integrate with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools to provide end-to-end test management. If you want to integrate UiPath Studio with ALM tools directly, it’s possible to do so through custom programming or third-party integration platforms.

No I would like to disagree here

u can only create bots for specific test case or as a test case
To define and map it relevant test cases and club them as a test set we need test manager
