UiPath Studio stuck on checking validation

Hi everyone,

I am facing a weird issue in UiPath Studio. Whenever I try to Run, Debug or Publish a project, it gets stuck on ‘Checking Validation Errors’ forever and never completes.

Studio version: 2026.0.190

What I have already tried:

  • Reinstalled UiPath 2-3 times
  • Restarted UiPath Studio multiple times
  • Cleared NuGet cache
  • All packages in Manage Packages show green (no warnings)
  • Added Windows Defender exclusions for UiPath folders
  • UiPath RobotJS Service and UiPath Connected Updater Service are both Running in services.msc

Additional observations:

  • Sometimes Debug runs fine but Publish has never worked even once

Has anyone seen this before? What could be causing the hang on Checking Validation Errors? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Just to ensure if its really validation issue try to validate the project from top design enu which has validate project option and see if validation completes

alternately try with a different project may be a blank one to verify

I have a couple of additional questions here:

  • Does this happen on all projects? Even new ones?
  • Would it be possible to share with us a process dump the next time this happens?

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to give an update on this issue.

I noticed that the problem does not happen when I run, debug, or publish projects that are outside the OneDrive folder.

But when I try to run or publish any project inside the OneDrive folder, it gets stuck on the “Checking Validation Errors” popup and never completes.

The strange part is that I have been using OneDrive for my projects from the beginning and never faced this issue before. So I feel like something might be wrong with my PC or setup.

Also, I make sure all my projects are marked as “Always available on this device”, so there shouldn’t be any read/write delay from OneDrive.
