UiPath Robot Error: "An error occurred while sending the reques."

Studio/Robot version: 2018.3.1

Current behavior: Able to do automation in studio and put the robot inside orchestrator however I am encountering an error when I try to pair the robot on my laptop with orchestrator

Hi Richmond,

According to the Compatibility Matrix in the user guide, the 18.1 Orchestrator and 18.3 Robot are not compatible. Check this link:

I’m facing the same error.

I am using UiRobot and UiStudio v. 2018.3.2 and Orchestrator . 2018.2.3.
Accordingly to the Matrix, these should be compatible.

Do you know what might be causing this?

I’m facing the same error but I have both Orchestrator and Studio 2018.3.2.

Hi,
Please provide the Event Viewer error logs on robot machine. Also, if Orchestrator is installed under single node, try to ping from robot machine the server where Orchestrator is installed.

Solution found for me: I should have used a brand new SQL Database and not the one from the 2018 version

Hello folks,

I am using studio 2018.3.1 and orchestrator is 2019.2.0. While I am trying to connect my robot to the orchestrator I am getting same issue(An error occured while sending the request). Please let me know is this a compatible issue or something else

What other errors are there in event viewer? It’s very important to see why the request failed.
Are you under a proxy ?

yes. I am too facing the same issue… Cannot able to generate a machine key itself…Please help me to resolve this issue “An Error Occured”

Ultimately I solved this error by updating to the latest version. My UiPath Studio did not auto-update, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the 2019.03 version, and used that same UiRobot version, as the online Orchestrator (Platform) is also showing as version 2019.03.
