Uipath extension disconnection

Good day,

We appreciate your help with the following:

When we are trying to install the UiPath extension for chrome in version 2024, it allows us to install, however, UiPath does not generate any type of error but the extension is not connected, the only way for it to connect is to uninstall UiPath and reinstall it , we have already reviewed everything at the browser policy level, and we see it correct, in the same way we have tried installing with all the options of the extension (current user, all users, group policy), but it still does not work without the need to uninstall the extension

Have you installed the chrome extension in UiPath Studio. Check the extension installed or not by following the below steps,
→ Go to UiPath Home → Go to Tools tab → Go to UiPath Extensions → find the Chrome extension → Check it is installed or not (if not installed do install)

If installed you have to install UiPath extension in chrome browser, check the below steps,

Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions →
Enable the UiPath Web Automation extension if needed.

I also faced similar issues earlier following are the steps i followed to resolve

Reinstallation Steps

  1. Uninstall UiPath Studio:
  • Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
  • Find UiPath Studio and uninstall it.
  1. Remove Chrome Extension:
  • Open Chrome and go to the Extensions page (chrome://extensions/).
  • Remove the UiPath extension.
  1. Clear Cache:
  • In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data.
  • Clear the cache and cookies.
  1. Reinstall UiPath Studio:
  • Download the latest version of UiPath Studio from the official website.
  • Install UiPath Studio.
  1. Install UiPath Extension:
  • Open UiPath Studio.
  • Navigate to Tools > Extensions.
  • Click Chrome to install the extension.
  1. Check Extension Permissions:
  • After installation, go to the Chrome Extensions page.
  • Ensure that the UiPath extension has the necessary permissions enabled.
