UiPath Cloud/Licenses

Hello All,

Have some questions regarding the Cloud Platform and Licensing.

I understand that we are given the following via the cloud:

  • 2 Attended
  • 1 Unattended
  • 2 Development

The questions I have are:
Are we allowed to use these licenses for production and then upgrade the volume required as/and when needed?
If we were to adopt the cloud platform would we access this the same way we do now with our POC?
If we were to purchase licenses now would we simply plug them into platform.uipath.com and can link them to VMs ready for production?

Thanks in advance.

Luke Simpson.

You can use your free license in the most convenient way you find but licenses expire every now and then and that might be a problem. As well we don’t know for how long we will keep having the free licenses for. I’m afraid that one day they might take away all the free products Uipath is providing.

Yes

Yes.
There’s a licensing tutorial with full info in the Uipath Academy, you will get full comprehension once you take it.
Also you can check the uipath docs in this link:

Hi @LukeSimpson

Welcome to our UiPath Forum!

Keep in mind that this is about Public Preview version of the Cloud Platform

It is quite simple. If you are a private user or a small business (=less than 5 mln yearly revenue OR less then 250 users and/or machines), then you can use Cloud platform for production within the given 5 licenses.

if you are an Enterprise, you can currently only use it for evaluation. There is also a bunch of non-profit/education scenarios mentioned in the conditions that can use it for production  However, as an Enterprise you can request as many licenses as you want to test it thoroughly. Those extra licenses come currently for free.

In the future, Cloud Platform will also be available to Enterprises as a standard service at a fee for the licenses.

That’s perfect, thanks @rmunro

Thank you @loginerror

Definitely have a better understanding of the cloud now. Do you have any idea when the cloud will be available as a standard service?

thanks again.
