Type into not working in VPN Conne

Hi

I am not able to log in into a portal which can be opened only using VPN connection. i.e Type into activity does not work and whole page is highlighted when i tried to indicate a element from the type into activity. the same activity works fine when used web recording. Could you please provide any suggestion.
