The installed versions of Studio and Robot do not match

Hi Team,

I am currently using the Community License, and recently my Studio was automatically upgraded to the latest version: 2025.0.167 STS. Prior to this update, both Studio and the Assistant were working correctly. However, after the upgrade, I am now encountering the following error:

The installed versions of Studio and Robot do not match. Please restart your machine and try again.

I have already restarted my machine, but the issue persists. I have also attached a screenshot for your reference.

Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue?

Uninstall the Studio which will uninstall the Robot also. Once done install the Studio again which will install the compatible Robot version as well.

It sounds like you’re encountering an issue where the versions of UiPath Studio and UiPath Robot aren’t syncing after the upgrade, leading to the “installed versions of Studio and Robot do not match” error. This type of issue can arise due to several reasons, such as the Robot service not being updated correctly or there being a mismatch between the version of Studio and Robot components.

  1. Open UiPath Studio and go to Help > About to check the version of Studio.
    Similarly, open UiPath Robot from the System Tray or via the Robot Settings to check its version.

Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
Find UiPath Studio and select the option to Repair.
You can also try repairing the Robot service this way.

  1. If the issue persists:
    Uninstall both UiPath Studio and UiPath Robot from your machine.
    Restart your machine to ensure all residual files are cleared.
    Download and install the latest versions of both UiPath Studio and UiPath Robot from the UiPath Downloads page.

  2. If all else fails and the issue started after the latest upgrade, you might want to revert to the previous version of UiPath Studio and Robot to see if the issue resolves. UiPath provides older versions on their website or through their platform.

Thank you for the suggestion.

I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Studio multiple times, which also removed and reinstalled the Robot component as expected. However, the issue still persists—the version mismatch error continues to appear.

Please let me know if there are any other steps or alternative solutions I can try.

Try downloading and installing the Robot LTS from here and install. https://download.uipath.com/versions/25.0.166-cloud.20077/UiPathRobot.msi

The same link you can find from the Orchestrator Download section.
