Test Manager Connect: Integration of Test execution results to Xray / Jira

Hello everyone,

I am having trouble setting up our test synchronisation between UiPath Test Manager (on prem) and Xray / Jira (Cloud).

I was working by the docs from Planview (https://success.planview.com/Planview_Hub/010Getting_Started/050Quick_Start_Guide/050_Step_4%3A_Configure_your_Integration/090_Test_Synchronization/UiPath_Test_Manager). Unfortunately the docs seem to be outdated:

  • I can’t integrate different models
  • I can’t select Xray’s issue type “Test run” and so I can’t add it to a collection
  • I can’t select Xray’s issue type “Test Set” as a container AND I can’t select Test Manager’s object type “Test Set” as a Work item

Is there someone who has successfully integrated “Tests”, “Test Executions”, “Test Sets” and “Test Runs” between Test Manager and Xray / Jira?

I’d appreciate any help!

By now, we could only integrate the issue type Test.

Kind regards

@WalterB

please check this

cheers

Unfortunately, there isn’t a video in that playlist in which Xray Test Runs are synchronized with Test Manager’s Test Execution Logs

Hi @WalterB

Please see if below doc helps

Automated Testing in Jira with Xray | Atlassian.

@WalterB

The steps are similar for mostof the alms..so please try to perform similarly

Cheers

Thank you for your responses.

The demo only shows how an integration could be used and test execution logs aren’t synchronized with Xray.

I’ve seen the documentation but there isn’t anything helpful. E.g. the Quick start guide from the Planview Hub Docs and especially UiPath Test Manager - Planview Customer Success Center

Unfortunately, this guide isn’t related to my issue. I want to sync test execution logs from the UiPath Orchestrator which are transfered to UiPath Test Manager automatically.

  • I can’t select Xray’s issue type “Test run” and so I can’t add it to a collection

→ The main problem of my issue is setting up the Xray Test Run collection(!).

Problem solved. The Xray Client ID & Secret weren’t valid anymore.

I guess they have been saved wrong when I saved the repository configuration to change a different field (like Attachment URL). So when you change anything in the configuration, make sure to enter the Client ID and Secret again
