Studio - Modern Design - How to pass object repository items as a variable or input argument to Type into Activity

Hi All,

Is there a way to pass object repository as a variable item? Let us say I have a type into activity.

If my input variable (of type string) ElementName = “Username”, then we should pass the Username object from the object repository to the type into activity.

If my input variable (of type string) is ElementName = “Password”, then we should pass the Password object from the object repository to the type into activity.

This is mainly for a reusable component. Since we need to perform this Type Into activity on a different elements in a page depending on conditions, we would like to have only TypeInto activity and pass the objects based on the input argument.

Update: We can use the input argument in the Type Into to pass the UiElemement. My question is - Based on the ElementName (string input), how can we assign UiElement to the Input Argument of the Type into.

i.e If ElementName (Of data type string) = Username then Assign InputElementName( of UiElement datatype) = ???

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey @Praveen8008

Is UI repo a must need for you?

Thanks

yes, it is a must need as our objects properties may change after the upgrade and we want to have all elements in a centralized place to manage.
