Solution to handle protected pdf file

Hi all,

I have a use case to process protected pdf.

Protect pdf means each time to open such pdf I have to fill in the password. I everyday receives many protected PDFs and have to upload the PDFs in to our IT systems.

However, the system does not accept protected pdf. So to conclude my goal, that is to generate a new pdf file without any password. At this moment I just fill in the password, print out each pdf file, make a scan to a new pdf and upload. This is time consuming! FYI, I tried to press print and choose ‘‘save as pdf’’/ “Microsoft print to PDF”, but I end up with a blank pdf.

Do you have any better solutions instead of the aforementioned one? like using OCR or Screenshot?

  • Use Read pdf activity.
  • In Password property, provide the password.
