Simulate type not working in AS400 application

Hi,

I am trying to automate a AS400 application to type into it in background.

Using simulate type is not typing in AS400. Can someone please help. Also please note that I want it to be running in background as the screen of the computer will be locked.

May I know what type of studio are you using and license type ?

As of development I am using community version of studio Version 2018.3.2 and using platform.uipath.com for Orchestrator

Community edition won’t work in back ground.

And what about typing in AS400. Simulate type is not at all working.

you can use Enterprise Edition with unattended License to work in back ground. I guess it is the solution.

I don’t know about this application. What kind of application it is ?

After discussing with other team mates they said that to work in background Orchestrator is required.

AS400 are terminal based windows application like IBM i signon

Sorry. I don’t have any idea on this application. But community edition won’t support Back ground automation.
