Selector does not work on win 11

Hi there,

I am pretty new to this game so please forgive me if there is already a solution out there. I did not find it.
So I am working on the “RPA Developer Foundation” plan and im stuck in the selector course at this section: “Video Demo - Using Wildcards in Selectors”

You are supposed to work with a notepad file, open the search bar by using the CTRL + H hotkey and then type sth into the textfield.

Problem is: The selector is not recognizing the textfield.
I learned so far, that there are other ways in such a case to create a selector but it kinda bothers me because those kind of textfields appear all over win 11 and I want them to be found by the selector tool.

Did I miss an update or anything?

Hope you have tried using UiExplorer.

Also try Anchor base activity if selector is unstable.

Yes, I did. UiExplorer is not recognizing the Ui Element.

Anchor base acitivity was mentioned in the videocourse but I dont have it in my activities. Thought its been integrated in other activities since the course is 2 or more years old.

Go to ui explorer…then click on settings button on top…select frameworka nd then active accessibility and please check if it works

And also if there are any error please tell the exact error let us know which field you are trying to indicate…

Also is this error occuring for indicating any element?

And in modern activities anchor base is included in click activity directly…while indicating element you can indicate anchor also if you want to

Hi Anil_G,

see the screenshot. The search bar is the element which is not recognized. I also tried the active accessibility framework like you said but the element is kinda invisible.
