I would like to clarify something about Linux robots.
From the official documentation, the following is described:
To use robots in a Linux environment, create an unattended robot in orchestrator, save ClientID and ClientSecret to be used later, then follow the steps below on the robot machine:
Question:
Regarding the “unattended robot” mentioned above, will the Community license be enough? Or an Enterprise license is needed?
The Community license of UiPath does not support unattended robot deployments, which are required for running robots on Linux machines.
If you want to leverage the power of UiPath robots in a Linux environment and have access to features like unattended robot deployment, you will need to obtain an Enterprise license from UiPath. The Enterprise edition offers additional functionality and support for production environments, including the ability to deploy and manage robots on Linux servers through UiPath Orchestrator.
We should be able to use the Community license as well, to deploy the unattended robot provided that the robot licenses is available for your tenant/account and it is intended for Evaluation Purposes or for smaller businesses.
However, it might not be suitable for enterprise organizations as the license terms is only with the support from public (Community or Forum) and no official Support would be provided from UiPath with the Community license.
To leverage the benefits, we acquire the Enterprise Licenses as required to get full official support from UiPath on the Products acquired and thereby maximizing the full capabilities that the services can provide.
