Problem viewing Academy videos

I am trying to view some videos in the academy but am receiving the message “hlsjs-lite: Network error.”

I have tried on Chrome and Explorer, and have tried a second machine (connected to the net via the same work network) and on mobile (by 4G connection) and have received the same error each time. Is this a current known problem?

Hi, I have exactly the same problem so I hope maybe it’s just temporary. I have tried chrome, Firefox and IE and all the time same error.
If you find any solution please let me know.

Me too. It’s happened for the first time for me at Lesson 5 - Advanced UI Interaction Part 2 - Screen scraping. I get the message with both Chrome and Mozilla browsers.

Hello there!
I’m having the same error, trying to view the Lesson 11 - E-mail Automation Part 1 - Interacting with e-mails video.

Browser tested: Chrome & Edge.

Facing the same issue now. Not able to view any of the videos.

Same issue here. I’ve tried on 2 computers, on 2 different networks, via 5 different internet browsers. For the UiPath Support team:
The full error seen in Chrome DevTools is:
“Access to XMLHttpRequest at ‘https://cdn2.dcbstatic.com/files/u/i/uipath_docebosaas_com/1575482400/A6ZLQbRMZ9P2W3OBYXNhYA/video/7717ac272fb6b4d11dc293b942d3f22f8b9c166a/7717ac272fb6b4d11dc293b942d3f22f8b9c166a.m3u8’ from origin ‘https://academy.uipath.com’ has been blocked by CORS policy: The value of the ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header in the response must not be the wildcard ‘*’ when the request’s credentials mode is ‘include’. The credentials mode of requests initiated by the XMLHttpRequest is controlled by the withCredentials attribute.”

Another user posted this solution in a different thread. Using this link to login works as a temporary fix.

Same here. Tried with different content, browser, device and network. It looks like a server side issue…

Hello guys,

It seems like some issue with Academy site and could you please try after some time. Hope Uipath team will resolve the issue soon.

The issue seems like it may have been resolved- I have been able to begin playing an Academy video this morning.

Udpate 12/5/2019: I’m able to watch the video.
Thank you very much!

Yup, seems that problem should be solved now
Thank you again for keeping informing us :hugs:

This could be a Flash issue:

Flash issues of this nature generally occur when Flash was disabled within the web browser. I have included Adobe’s official PSA instructing content developers to steer away from the use of Flash, a link where you can check if you are currently utilizing the most recent version of Flash and if it’s active in your web browser, along with instruction on how to enable Flash in all modern web browsers.
