Open browser issue - cannot communicate with the browser, please check the UiPath extension

We are trying to open chrome application we get below error
Error : cannot communicate with the browser, please check the UiPath extension

Can you please make sure that extension is enabled? If yes, try disabling it and enabling and restarting the browser.
Also, which browser are you using?

where should i enable the extension?

In UiPath Studio

Click → ‘Home’ → ‘Tools’ → ‘Uipath Extensions’ -->Install Chrome.
Then you will get a POPUP in Google Chome…asking you to enable extensions.
Then click Enable.

Open chrome and go to chrome://extensions/ or in the menu select More tools and Extensions. If the UiPath extension is not there, install it from Studio as Praw1n mentioned. If it’s there, enable it.

I would like to add my experience: I forgot that I had a Picture in Picture (PiP) window open, where the browser was being opened. In that window, the extension was not enabled.

After finding that out, I disabled the PiP window run and the Use Browser activity was working like expected again.

I had the same problem. I opened UiPath studio, clicked tools, then UiPath extensions, unstalled both Chrome and Edge. Reinstalled them again, restarted the computer and the problem was resolved.
