New PDF activity reads extra space

My project was running fine. This is the timesheet:

The pdf was read as below (in text file):

After updating the studio version and using the new PDF activities, more spaces were read in the same pdf (in the text file):

Due to the spaces, my string manipulation after isn’t working. Kindly help.

After removing all extra whitespaces you can perform string manipulations
