New deployment method in UiPath Apps

Hi all,
Finding this notification when I am trying to deploy a new version of my existing App in Production -
image

I don’t see an update regarding this on the forum. Can anyone please share the link in case I have missed this?

Can you also share any documentation regarding this? I want to check how to assign some users the role for editing while some users/groups the role for running only - since this notification mentions that all current access will be lost. The existing documentation doesn’t seem to be updated with this change

Thanks,
Nishant

Hi @Nishant_Banka1 , now apps will be deployed to folders similar to automations. Once the app is published, you can go to folder->automations->apps and add the app there (Similar to how you add a process in a folder). Who ever have access to that folder will be able to run the app (they can see the app in Run Tab of Apps, you don’t need to add them separately).

@Nishant_Banka1 ,

This is new way of pushing apps on tenant into folder. Please follow below documents.

Thanks @Anas-p-v and @Arvind_Kumar1 for your prompt responses!

The documentation attached seems to be of today, after it was added for Enterprise clients as well.

It should have been rolled out for community users first given that this is such a major change. Thoughts?

Also I understand on how to allow users to run the App. How should I provide them with edit access (previously edit and run)

Thanks,
Nishant
